Executive Vice Chairman Zhang Chongqing visited Greece from 12 July to 15 July 2012 at the invitation of Constantine A. Papadopoulos, Secretary General for International Economic Relations & Development Cooperation of Hellenic Republic. During the visit, Chairman Zhang talked with Mr. Papadopoulos about the current status of Greek economy and the process of state-owned assets treatment. The two parties also explored possibilities, channels and ways for Chinese enterprises to acquire Greece’s state owned assets.

Thereafter, Chairman Zhang called on the Economic and Commercial Counselor's office in Athens and was warmly received by the Counselor Sun Liwei. Furthermore, Chairman Zhang also discussed with Mr. Du Qiwen, the Embassador to Greece, about the Chinese enterprises purchasing the Greece's state owned assets.
